The Power of Love

I have just returned from a course that confirmed to me that LOVE is the answer. When we truly Love our inner self, make peace with that inner baggage your life can change.

I have always followed and admired the work of the Bestselling Author and inspirational lady Louise Hay. So last year I decided to sign up for the ‘Heal Your Life’, Teacher Leader Course, led by the inspirational author Dr Patricia Crane who personally trained with the lovely Louise.

The course I attended transformed my life. Yes I had practiced various techniques to heal me, my past, and yes I was nearly there, but not quite. The guided sessions were so loving, every pore of my being felt loved. Patricia and her assistants Verity, Jane,Sharon and Juliet were the ultimate natural loving angels. Throughout the week they said the course would be life-changing, yeah right said my negative thoughts.

The course did. I have learnt to accept, love, forgive me and move on, to lead a wonderful, sparkling, joyous and abundant life. I deserve it and so do you. Take that step, join me and experience what I experienced you will never look back.

Yesterday was my Birthday, I had a lovely day and most of my family and friends sent me their good wishes. But sometimes that one person or two who you really care about forgets, the ones you think why, I just can’t understand why?  The thought can change your mood, if you let it, and in some cases spoil your day.

Your compassionate self is saying “he forgot, she was busy or ill, it happens”. Then the negative self thinks well he was on Facebook, saw all my birthday messages, she has a phone, he could text, message in an instant.

And what about the up’s and down of life. An insult, a criticism, a disagreement, can change your mood, lowers your positive energy, especially if you are a sensitive soul. I don’t think there is anything wrong with being sensitive and loving it is a beautiful trait to have.

If you are not so sensitive, but think yes I am right, they were wrong, and you react negatively, and you begin to be hurtful, what happens? YOU HURT YOURSELF. No one wins.

So what to do. I try not to judge the issue, problem, and situation. I remove the EGO.

Don’t get me wrong we or should I say The EGO is very hurt. We can hold onto the feeling, spoil the day, or in some cases hold a grudge for the rest of our lives. That hurt can bury itself deep, that hate, that fear can attach to the soul for years and in some cases it will never leave.

If it is getting to you, getting you down, you are having all sorts of problems be it physically, emotionally or and mentally, take steps to LET IT GO, LET IT GO.

Those thoughts in your head – he/she hurt me, I was right they were wrong!

STOP who are you hurting?

This may help…..

Place that hurt into the Healing Box, its safe, secure and then send it to the Universe, or your God, your Angel, your deity, your guru you choose. Have Faith. Release the pain and move on.

Try it, and see how your life changes and how your wellbeing improves.


Inner child

Have we forgotten who she or he is? That little, carefree being that smiles, laughs, has not a care in the world. That loving innocence that glows, beams with delight, unaware of criticism, self-doubt.

Where did she/he go?

I guess as we get older the child shrinks into a corner of our Soul. It may emerge from time to time, makes an appearance, and brings joy.

We all should nurture and love our inner child, talk to her/him. When was the last time you did this?

What do I do to nurture my inner child; something childish!

What did you love doing as a child and do not dare to do it now! You may think “it’s not the done thing”, or “what will people say”.

Feel your Joy, whatever that Joy is, do not be afraid to shine, glow in your beautiful innocence.

Let's be Grateful

3am, in bed, wide awake; sometimes you just wake up. We have two windows in our bedroom and I insist that one of the blinds is left half drawn as I love to see the first morning light. Our room is located at the back of the house and faces the back garden.

First thought “it is 3 am, Silvana you should be asleep”! The more you try and force yourself, the more you can’t shut those peepers. So I meditate, calm my mind, be mindful or mindless. What is she on about you may be thinking.

Let me explain, I listen, outside the birds are tweeting, chatting away, I faintly hear what seems to be a distant car and the sound of the water from our pond trickling away. I feel the warmth of the bed, the comfy pillows, hubby sleeping next to me. I smile, and say thank you, I am so grateful. Moments later I drift off to sleep.

It was 9am when I woke up, jumped out of bed, I have hot water to have a shower, I have a shower, towels, toothpaste, toothbrush and that’s just in the bathroom. How often have I taken my everyday things for granted. I continued my day being thankful for all I have, however small.

I try to be thankful every day, it makes me feel warm inside, loving to myself and to others. Why not try it yourself. You can be thankful for anything, there is always something to be thankful for. Start with you, beautiful being.

The Root Cause

The other day I posted on my Facebook page a beautiful multi-coloured Rose, where you could see all the layers of the rose, deep down into its heart.

It made me think, that when you have a physical medical condition, you see a doctor and then you go through various medical tests to find out the reason. These investigations will eliminate suspected causes until a diagnosis is made, and therefore finding the source of your problem, then your treatment plan begins.

When you have negative thoughts and feelings that lead to emotional or mental problems, you also need to find the source, but this may not be as easy. You must dig down all way down to the root cause. Not a maybe, or a could be, but it is a must! Allow yourself to heal your inner-self; would you hesitate to seek help if you had broken your leg?


Beginning to Heal

The process of beginning to heal should be handled slowly and at your own pace.

You will have days when you feel uplifted, top of the world, full of joy. On other days you may feel very unsettled, sad, just aaaggh!

You and only you will know how you are feeling, what you have been through, how deep your wounds are, and how long it will take for all your bits to heal.

Listen to your whole body, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.


Give yourself some private and personal space and time.

Go at YOUR own pace



What areas of your life would you like to make better?

Sit quietly, reflect.

  • Relationship with your partner?
  • Job?
  • Relationships with others?
  • Finances?
  • Health?
  •  Wellbeing?

Take your time, find time for you……….yes you!

Do not blame yourself, or say you’re not good enough, I am a failure, I can’t do this blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.


Face the issue and learn from this, DON’T attribute blame to yourself or even others!

Do not FEAR the process, release that FEAR…..


Accept the FEAR, take steps, tiny ones at first, chip away at that FEAR, let it go. It gets easier and easier.

I AM WELL, ALL IS WELL say it out LOUD over and over again.

Loving Yourself

Do you feel guilty if you do things for yourself? Does this sound selfish?

Loving yourself is not about thinking of yourself all the time or putting yourself first.

Loving yourself is about thinking that you are perfect as you are. Not that you are too fat or thin, too tall or short, spotty, hairy, ugly…….. It is about accepting yourself as you are!

It’s about accepting your life, both the good and bad experiences; this is the only way we can truly love ourselves.

This journey lasts throughout your life, it’s not a quick fix, but your life will be as wonderful or as dreadful as you make it.

Learn to Relax

Do you know how to relax? Do you?

To relax do you watch TV, listen to music, or have a small (maybe even large) drink (or two)? Does your brain still whirl around? Do you have thoughts about work, family, the things that you have to do, the things that you are worrying about; you maybe don’t sleep, or maybe you do sleep, but you still get irritated, tired and/or angry… don’t relax.

Complete relaxation comes with practice, it is part of holistic health. It’s a place deep inside of you, your spirit, and your energy that no matter if you have problems, sadness, and irritations it is how it should be. Let me explain…

You may not like what is happening to you but you accept it, the more you practice, the more you heal, and the more you cope.

How? Understand your breathing system; be aware of how powerful your energy, thoughts and emotions can be? Know how to protect yourself from any negativity, hence release your physical and emotional tension.
